Malaika A. Small, LMSW

Malaika approach’s therapy with empathy and cultural sensitivity, tailoring interventions to meet each client's unique needs. Her goal is to empower individuals to break free from generational patterns, fostering inner strength and resilience for a more fulfilling life. In a safe and inclusive space, she will explore issues such as self-esteem, relationships, and personal growth.  Whether facing anxiety, depression, racial trauma, or other mental health challenges, Malaika is dedicated to helping clients thrive through self-discovery and healing. Working collaboratively with her clients, she embarks on a transformative journey toward empowerment and well-being.

 

Malaika graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.  Additionally, she holds a Certificate in Meeting & Conference Management from New York University. Her educational background also includes a Master of Science in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from the University at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Communication with a minor in Business.
