Ronald S. Lawrence, LCSW
Licensed Psychotherapist 

​Ronald is Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York and Connecticut.  Apart from other counseling techniques, his approach to therapy is of a responsive style towards the clients’ needs. Operating on the core values of being empathetic, genuine, and non-judgmental, Ronald is positively committed to the belief that everyone has the capacity for change.  

With over a decade of experience treating individuals challenged with mental health issues, Ronald's expertise encompasses substance use disorders, and other addictions. His career as counselor began in 2007 at a New York City based non-profit organization, serving individuals with behavioral health needs and substance use disorders. Since then, he has worked in multiple settings and have held multiples positions. These include counselor roles in residential programs for mental health and substance use, primary therapist at a behavioral health day program, Director of a behavioral health community residence, and Deputy Director of admissions for a residential substance use program. Aside from those, Ronald has also worked for two private practices before starting his own private practice.  

Ronald's background and interests include working with clients who are experiencing difficulties with patterns of attachment or relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, internal conflicts, chronic illnesses and male & female infertility issues.

Ronald earned his Master’s degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Ronald's post graduate training includes completing an Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy program at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City.  Ronald Is a current Psychoanalytic Candidate at the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.
