A place for thoughtful work,
where you are.
Online psychotherapy offers a way to meet when coming to the Stamford office is not the right fit. The focus remains on your experience, the patterns that concern you, and the relationship we develop through our conversations.
Connecticut and New York appointments
Online appointments are offered for Connecticut and New York residents, subject to confirmed eligibility and clinical fit. Your physical location at each session matters—not only your home address. Please discuss travel or a change of location before meeting.
Stamford, Connecticut, is my only in-person location. If you live in New York City or elsewhere in New York, appointments with this practice are online.
Creating space to speak freely
Consider where you can speak without being overheard or interrupted. A dependable internet connection and a comfortable, private place can help you attend to the conversation rather than managing your surroundings.
Before starting, we can discuss the video arrangements, privacy, how to contact each other if the connection fails, and whether online work fits your circumstances. Technology details will be provided directly by the practice.
The relationship still matters
Distance does not make your experience of the therapist irrelevant. You may feel close, cautious, distracted, or uncertain in an online session. We can speak about how the format affects you rather than assuming it feels the same as being in the room.
The work still involves returning to feelings and patterns over time. Online access does not make change immediate or remove the difficulty of the work.
Choosing between online and in person
If you live in Fairfield County, you may be weighing travel to Stamford against meeting online. Consider privacy, time, your comfort with video, and how each setting might affect your ability to speak. We can discuss those questions together.
Online psychotherapy is not appropriate for every need or situation. An initial conversation can help us consider the fit and any other care you may need.
Fees and insurance for online sessions
Ask your insurer about coverage for the specific clinician, service, and location. Do not assume that office-visit coverage automatically confirms online benefits.
